Netflix, the online Movies and TV Show streaming service is now gearing up to launch cheaper mobile-only plans for Indian customers. The online media streaming services become more competitive after a number of domestic brands launched themselves in the industry resulted in Amazon Prime subscriptions started with monthly plans. Netflix is losing quite a bit due to this competition, that leads Netflix to test cheaper plan for India.
In the month of March Netflix has announced they are testing ₹250 subscription mobile-only plan for the Indian market.
Today Netflix has announced that it will start to roll out new plans for the mobile screen in the Indian market. The company has sent a letter to its shareholder stating "After several months of testing, we've decided to roll out a lower-priced mobile-screen plan in India to complement our existing plans".
Currently, Netflix is the most expensive among all, Amazon Prime offers ₹129/ Month and Hotstar is offering ₹299/Month.
