Redmi 7A Launched in India at ₹5,999


Redmi series from Xiaomi has been the trendsetter in sub 7K Rupees mark in the Indian market. Until just recently they came across two strong contenders for the crowns likes of  Samsung's M10 and Nokia's 2.2 in similar price tag.


Earlier today Xiaomi officially announced the launch of the Redmi 7A in India through a web stream. The new Redmi phone will be available on Flipkart as well as MI.com and MI Store starting from 11th July at 12PM. The handset will be available through an offline retailer in the country at later stages.

One of the highlights of the Redmi 7A is its chipset, once again Xiaomi manages to put Snapdragon 439 SoC an entry-level smartphone and the two years warranty which stands out from the competition. The device sport 5.45-inch HD+ (720x1440) display with 18:9 aspect ratio.  The device features a 2GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. Redmi 7A comes with 12 MP Sony IMX486 camera at the back along with an LED flash and PDAF lens and 5 MP front-facing camera for the selfies. The face camera also supports AI Face Unlock feature. To juice up the things, the company has provided large 4000mAh battery with 10W charging support and also includes P2i splash-resistant coating on top. On the connectivity front, the device comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro-USB.

The Redmi 7A starts at ₹5,999 for 2GB RAM + 16 GB storage variant and 2GB RAM + 32GB storage at ₹6,199. The device will come with three color options, Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte Gold.

Xiaomi is offering ₹200 discount on the both Redmi 7A variants in India. The discount will be available throughout July as an introductory offer.
